Source: archiemcpheeMark a.k.a. Broken Journalist created this awesome steampunk AT-AT walker as an engagement present for his fiancée. There are so many wonderful little details on this piece. It’s clearly a labour of geeky love.
To Mark and his Star Wars and steampunk-loving lass, the Geyser of Awesome congratulations on your engagement!

Source: reeklooseportishead is one of those bands that consistently produce great music but remain relatively unknown. i particularly love the instrumental part in the last minute or so of this song with the old synth sound and driving beat. this song comes from the album “third” and if you like this one go check out the rest…it’s great.

But instead of reading technical, hard-science writers like Isaac Asimov, I was interested in Harry Harrison and a fantastic, surreal approach to the genre. I grew up on it. Star Wars is a sort of compilation of this stuff, but it’s never been put in one story before, never put down on film. There is a lot taken from Westerns, mythology, and samurai movies. It’s all the things that are great put together. It’s not like one kind of ice cream but rather a very big sundae.” — GEORGE LUCAS

In a perfect world, there would be a lot more mystery and noble crime-fighting luchadores. Sadly, we havent reached that pinnacle just yet, but we can get close to it with the the pulp artwork of Rafael Gallur, which celebrates the over the top bare-chested adventures of luchadores, cowboys, martial artists, and just tons of naked ladies (i.e., the aforementioned perfect world).
